JOHN L. DI MASI

Received his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1991, with honors. At Miami School of Law, Mr. Di Masi was president of the honor council and a member of the Moot Court Board and editor of the Sports and Entertainment Law Review. Mr. Di Masi was also a member of the Bar & Gavel and was selected as a Who's Who among students in American Universities & Colleges. Mr. Di Masi received his B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration from Boston College in 1984, where he was the president of the Personnel Management Association and intern with the Offices of Senator Edward M. Kennedy.

Mr. Di Masi is a member of the American Bar Association, Florida Bar and the Orange County Bar Association. Mr. Di Masi is actively involved in The Orange County Bar and the Florida Bar, as well as local community and civic organizations including acting as Vice-President and Board Member of the Grand Avenue Economic Community Development Corporation. Mr. Di Masi is Chairman of the city of Orlando, Code Enforcement Board, a Board Member and Two-Term Former Chairman. Mr. Di Masi has also been an Adjunct Instructor in Real Estate and Business Law at Florida Metropolitan University, Orlando College from 1995 to 2000. Mr. Di Masi is also a frequent lecturer and author of many legal articles for local publications.

Mr. Di Masi's practice areas include real estate transactions and financing, business law, corporate law, construction lien law, title insurance defense and homeowner's association representation. Mr. Di Masi also handles a variety of litigation matters, including real estate, business and commercial litigation.

MICHAEL UNGERBUEHLER

Michael received his J.D. from the University of Florida School of Law in 2002. While attending law school, Michael also earned a Master's Degree in Real Estate at the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business. During his law school career, Michael studied in Montpellier, France and completed his law school career by studying Planning Law in Oxford, England and interning at the Florida Supreme Court.

Michael is a member of the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar. Michael is a member of the Real Property section and the Environmental and Land Use section of the Florida Bar.

Michael's practice areas primarily include real estate transactions, homeowner's association representation, business law, commercial litigation, and real estate litigation.

LAVINIA McMILLEN

Received her J.D. from the Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University in 1988. At Mercer Law School Ms. McMillen was a member of the Law Review and the Intrastate Trial Competition Team. Ms. McMillen received her B. A. in Education from the University of Florida in 1977 and her B.A. in Allied Legal Service from the University of Central Florida in 1984. Ms. McMillen is a member of the Florida Bar and the State Bar of Georgia and practices in the area of commercial business and construction litigation.

FRANK LACQUANITI

Received his J.D. from the Pennsylvania State University's Dickinson School of Law in 2006, graduating in the Top 20% of his class. Frank participated in the school's Art, Sports and Entertainment Law Clinic and held a position as a Research Assistant for nationally published legal author and law professor at Penn State. In addition, Frank worked for Foot Locker, Inc. in the Leasing Accounting Department and clerked for the Law Offices of John L. Di Masi, P.A. during his summer recesses while a student in law school.

Frank his B.A. in Political Science with honors from the University of Florida in 2002. Prior to attending the U.F., Frank grew up in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. He is now a permanent resident of Florida and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar.

CARLA DI MASI

Carla Di Masi is a native Floridian, who has lived in Orlando since 1979. She is a paralegal who has worked in the legal profession since 1976, primarily in the areas of real estate law, corporate law and litigation. Carla has spent the last three years working in our law firm as a corporate paralegal. She is responsible for creating corporations and limited liability companies, as well as preparing the documents that govern those corporations.

NANCY BONE

Nancy spent the first seven years of her career at SunTrust working as an operations officer. Nancy attended the University of Central Florida, where her focus was in business.

In 1988, Nancy left SunTrust to pursue a career in accounting. She worked for a local accounting office where she was responsible for preparing corporate and individual bookkeeping and taxes.

Currently, Nancy works as a paralegal with The Law Offices of John L. Di Masi, P.A. She is primarily responsible for all files relating to Homeowner's Association Representation: working directly with the Association, the Management Groups and the Homeowner, Nancy also assists in residential closings.

NIKI BRIGANTI

Niki Briganti has lived in Orlando since the age of one. Niki worked in the retail industry for several years before joining Medallion Title Services, Inc.

Niki started with Medallion Title Services, Inc. as a receptionist, which has escalated into taking care of the preparation and closing of loans with certain lender clients. Niki also often assist the closing team with issues and tasks relating to other pending transaction with the Title Company.

Niki brings valuable management and customer service experience to the Medallion closing team.

BILLIE PATRICK

Billie Patrick is a Central Florida Native. She began her professional career in 1989 as a buyer and merchandiser of woman’s apparel and then escalated into management. In 1997 she made a switch into the Title Insurance business, which she has excelled in for the past 8 years.

Billie has worked with the search and examination departments of a major Underwriter gaining valuable experience in both areas. She has also worked with a local law firm, which began her exposure to coordination of residential real estate transaction and preparation of contraction loan closings.

Billie has worked with several of the lead Underwriters in the Nation. She has worked as a senior closer, senior construction closer, and has also managed her own branch office.

Billie has attended and received certificates of completion for many Title insurance related seminars such as Continuing Education Course in Conduction Commercial Real Estate Transactions, Understanding Contracts and preparing Settlement Statements, presented by Attorney’s Title Fund.

Billie is a senior closer with Medallion and tries to provide excellent service to her clients.

RHONDA ADAMS
Real Estate Paralegal, Escrow Officer, Office Manager

Rhonda was born Siler City, NC.  She received her Associates Degree in 1989 from Davidson County Community College where she graduated with Honors from the Bar accredited Paralegal Training Program. After being hired by one of her college professors, Rhonda worked in various types of law including family law, bankruptcy, personal injury, workers’ compensation and estate planning.  In 1991, she began working solely in real estate law.

She relocated to Central Florida 1992 and worked with various local law firms in the fields of commercial real estate law and residential real estate law. In 1996, Rhonda began her career in the title industry where she has been both Manager and Head Closer.

Rhonda brings 16 years of experience in the legal held and real estate law. She has closed transactions of all loan types, including FHA, VA, Conventional, Equity Lines, Construction Loans, Commercial loans and is familiar with current lending practices, including compliance with RESPA and HUD regulations. She is regular speaker at the First Time Home Buyer Seminars conducted by the Housing and Neighborhood Development Services of Central Florida, Rhonda’s experience and knowledge makes her a very capable title examiner, abstractor, loan closer and escrow officer.

JACQUELINE D. BODDEN

Jacqueline Bodden is a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico. She moved to Orlando in 1983 at the age of 10. She attended the Florida Metropolitan University in Orlando, FL where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Marketing focusing in Accounting.

Jacqueline began her career in the Accounting field in 1991 and was responsible for the developing of two corporations from inception.

Jacqueline shares the responsibility of overseeing all aspect for The Law Offices of John L. Di Masi and Medallion Title Services, Inc. She brings a strong accounting education and background to this team.

INFORMATION

Our Law Offices and Title Company are conveniently located in the historic district in the heart of Downtown Orlando.

We are easily accessible from I-4 and we have ample parking available to our guests.

Our offices are open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; we are also available after hours and on the weekends by appointment.
