BIOGRAPHY
Mary’s practice areas include general commercial litigation, eminent domain, land use, and land use litigation. Mary has broad experience in representing both land owners and condemning authorities in eminent domain proceedings. Her land use litigation experience includes quiet title actions, annexation disputes, appellate litigation of the denial of land use approvals, and ad valorem property tax assessment challenges. In addition, Mary has extensive experience representing the telecommunications industry in obtaining land use and zoning approvals for cellular communications towers.
Mary has been recognized by her peers for inclusion in the Best Lawyers of America® for the years of 2007, 2008, and 2009 in the area of eminent domain and condemnation law. Additionally, she was included in the Orlando Magazine’s® Best Lawyers for the years of 2008, 2009, and 2010.
Prior to joining as a partner at the Law Offices of John L. Di Masi, P.A., Mary was an equity partner at Foley & Lardner LLP, practicing with the firm for 19 years.
While in law school, Mary served as the managing editor of the Iowa Law Review.
