Mary Solik’s practice areas include, general commercial litigation, eminent domain, and land use litigation. Ms. Solik has broad experience in representing both land owners and condemning authorities in eminent domain proceedings. Her land use litigation experience includes quite title actions, annexation disputes, appellate litigation of the denial of land use approvals, and ad valorem property tax assessments challenges. Finally, Ms. Solik has extensive experience representing the telecommunications industry in obtaining land use and zoning approvals for cellular communication towers.
Ms. Solik is a graduate of the University of Iowa, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in 1986, her J.D. degree in 1990, and was managing editor of the Iowa Law Review. She is a member of The Florida Bar, the Iowa State Bar Association, and the Orange County Bar Association. Ms. Solik has been selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2007, 2008, and 2009 in the area of eminent domain and condemnation law. Ms. Solik was also included in the Orlando Magazine’s ® Best Lawyers 2008 and 2009.
Prior to joining the Law Offices of John L. DiMasi, P.A., Mary Solik was an equity partner at Foley & Lardner LLP, practicing with that firm for 19 years.
